From my upcoming book 'How to Create Real Heart Connection with Horses ' 
My background is in art, horsemanship, and adventures in energy. Initially I started this healing journey with animals, training in and using a variety of vibrational energy modalities and natural horsemanship methods to augment my inherent intuition, empathy and ability.
When the animals began to bring me their humans I trained in energy psychology to broaden my knowledge and offering. Horses have always been of great significance in my life although I was parted from them for a number of years. I now see that this break gave me an opportunity to view them in a different light when we were reunited. Although the change came in force eventually, the progress took its time. While I used my initial wisdom and training at first, I found I was continually led to meet people and horses who would teach me subtler and subtler ways of being around these truly wonderful creatures. My own horse Phoebe has been and is still my greatest teacher. The tipping point came when I saw Stormy May's film 'The Path of the Horse' and I realised that there was still way to go and not just within the animal communication classes I was then teaching. To my surprise I realised that I still carried agenda in the form of what I expected the horse to do for me. It was illuminating and distressing in equal measures as I thought I'd been functioning from real togetherness and a state of equal respect. But by going deeper I realised that there were new layers of communication which I had only dreamt about and that my work with humans gave me a grounding to embark on an even more amazing path towards real relationship with horses. It is this that I offer now and to which I welcome you. This time on earth is significant in the history of mankind (a strikingly inappropriate word) as we see great possibilities opening up together with base tempation in almost all aspects of life. However the science of the heart is now being studied and I use these findings to support my work. Operating from the heart is not a nebulous idea but a real and potent way of being which, above all, the horse understands. Heart-based Horsemanship is just what it implies. When we operate from our hearts in the true sense of the word and understand the greatness of its magnetic field and ability to communicate we can cross all sorts of boundaries that seemed hitherto impenetrable. The horse has served us well for thousands of years and now will teach us one of the greatest secrets of the universe. It is our privilege to listen. |
